Chuck Murphy received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from The Pennsylvania State University in 2007. Attorney Murphy went on to receive his law degree from The Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law in 2010. During law school, Attorney Murphy completed internships with the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office and the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections Office of the Chief Counsel.
Attorney Murphy began his legal career as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable President Judge Ronald E. Vican in the Monroe County Court of Common Pleas. In 2011, Attorney Murphy relocated to York County to join the York County District Attorney’s Office as a Deputy Prosecutor. In May 2012, Attorney Murphy joined the Special Case Unit. Attorney Murphy was promoted to the position of Senior Deputy Prosecutor in August 2013. In February 2014, Attorney Murphy was appointed as the head of the Special Case Unit. The Special Case Unit specifically targets the special and intensive prosecution of adult sex offenses and the sexual and physical abuse of children.
